Specially designed for Kindergarten through 4th graders, this camp allows the children to experience the delights and wonders of growing your own fruits and vegetables, as well as flowers.

Hands-on planting and gardening activities; learning about the life cycle of a seed; crafts -- making unique growing containers and other fun garden items; exploring the "flower" teepee; interesting stories about gardening and growing; and of course play time will make the day zoom by!

There will be several take home items the children will have made during camp.

The children will experience -- either through plants already planted or seeds which they will start -- radishes, squash, cucumbers, herbs, apples, sweet peas, carrots, garlic, tomatoes, onion, moonflowers, peas, beans, corn -- to name a few.

This camp is offered from August 9th through August 13th, 2010. Monday through Friday from 8:30am until 12:30pm. Children bring their own lunch; we will provide healthy snacks and drinks. Limited camp size. The cost is $150 for the week.
